We had booked our move over the phone, the estimator had provided a written quote, we boxed our house, arranged sitters for our kids and took the day off work. The movers never arrived. The company tells us they didn’t have us on the schedule and can’t move us until the following week. Nightmare. Don’t use this company. There are much better moving companies in Temecula. Do your due diligence and shop around before enrolling for your own nightmare with ruff and ready.

Hector and team came out after Alan our estimator gave us a fair and decent price. The guys took all the stress away as I could not finish packing by move date. They took care to pack carefully and efficiently. Very polite and professional. Awesome job hands down! We came cross country and had to move our date out by a few days. They were understanding and rescheduled us no problem. Mike arrived with his team and they were fast!! Everything was wrapped and packed nicely and they bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect and in its place. Professional and polite. Mayflower chose a great agent in Ruff and Ready. I highly, highly recommend!!

Had estimator slated to come out from 3-4 they never showed up. I understand things happen but I didn’t even get a courtesy of what was going on or that they were running behind. Not a good impression at all.

I hired Ruff & Ready Moving based on a recommendation I received from Next Door, a social media site. It was the worst move of my life. I have a very large home with many expensive antiques. I had upwards of 250 boxes which needed to be moved into different rooms according to how they were clearly marked. The movers took apart my antiques to make them easier to move, but when the furniture was delivered, a different set of movers was tasked with putting the furniture back together and they had no clue how to do it. They also misplaced the hardware to put the antiques together and had to search through all the boxes to find it. A couple of the guys that had originally taken the antiques apart were called in the next day, but they did not get the pieces together correctly and I had to call my antique dealer to come out to correctly finish putting the pieces together. As I began to unpack I notice another problem. The men would bring in 6 boxes and take them to the room that was reflected on the top box even though the other boxes below it went to different rooms. It took me several months after the move to locate everything to its rightful room. Furniture was broken and the broken pieces lost in the shuffle. I did get reimbursed for a portion of the damage, but I still had to cart the items back and forth to get them fixed. These people should not attempt to move more than your average college student going off to school. If you value your belongings, find a more professional moving company.

As an Interior Design business, I use Ruff and Ready Moving to receive my orders at their warehouse, pick up custom items from local fabricators, and then deliver with white glove service to my valued customers. I trust the great people at Ruff and Ready to take care of my high end merchandise and install at my customers. Kendall does a fantastic job of managing my account!

We lost multiple boxes of things that can’t be replaced. The care of our items as they stacked them in was shocking. John was verbally abusive when questioned. Horrible experience.

Clean, honest, friendly and professional crew. Was very respectful that we had to set up our bed to get our toddler down for a nap. These guys don’t waste time and won’t waste yours.

Don't make the mistake that I made! I did not buy extra insurance to cover damage. On three previous moves with national moving companies, I had no damage, so I had a false sense of security. Recently, I had this company do a local move where substantial damage was done to an upright piano. The mover explained that he left the piano on a 4-wheeler cart strapped to the inside wall of the truck. Somehow, it must have come loose, resulting in breaking the front two legs of the piano and causing severe dents and dings on the front surface. I was paid the standard rate of 60 cents per pound which covers only a very small fraction of the repair cost. I asked the company to give me the courtesy of returning the $150 surcharge for piano moving, since the mistake seemed to be an obvious failure to properly secure the piano. They denied my request. It was ironic that I had to pay the piano-surcharge premium for them to do a substandard job. I assumed that the extra charge was for the extra care required to move a piano.

When Andy the estimator came to house to get estimate was very pleasant and answered all our questions. When we excepted the estimate we called Ruff & Ready office Neomie was very pleasant we were very impressed so far. Thank You Ruff & Ready

Use them twice for local moves and had a great experience. Sadly, my out of state experience has been horrible. It's been over four weeks and not only do I not have my things, I can't even get a response from them about when I might expect them. Moving is stressful. Save yourself some added stress by choosing a different moving company.

pick it. Poor quality. Poor Value. Not professional. Not responsive. probably the WORST move we have ever experienced. the things they packed= awful. the way they packed the truck= atrocious. the way they treat the customer= rude. Please reconsider if you are thinking of using them. We can post pictures after our claim has been resolved. we are very familiar with your phone number. thanks. yes i am a real customer and if you paid attention to people when they did call that you would know that I am.

Movers did an exceptional job. They were communicative, friendly, very careful with our items, thorough and detail oriented. 2 stars because they gouged our concrete driveway pretty badly, multiple gouges on both concrete pads. The owner (John Ruff) argued with my husband saying WE shouldn't have let THEIR driver come up our driveway with THEIR truck. At the end, he sent a friend to come patch up the gouges. This friend of his said he needed to come back a second day to seal the patches, but didn't come back. After a few rain storms, most of the patches were washed away & we're left with half patched gouges.

Great quality and service we got Mario and Doug, they did a great job and were very professional. Ruff and Ready has always been great for us and I hope you all get the same experience we had.

About a few months ago, I was moving to a new house and a friend referred me to the “Ruff and Ready Moving” company to help me to move my furniture. I ended up hiring the Ruff and Ready Moving company to move a spa for me. Unfortunately, that was the worst decision I have ever made. The Ruff and Ready team damaged the spa which cost about $1000 to fix. The spa was about 6 months old, and it cost me $10000. Ruff and Ready charged me over $350 for the move. When they delivered the spa, there were damages all over and they dropped the spa very heavily on the concrete. I reported the damage to the owner, they only reimbursed me $200 while I had insurance of over $600 for the move. I believe that the Ruff and Ready staff was unprofessional and have no knowledge of how to move a spa. If you value your belonging, you should not hire the Ruff and Ready Company to move your furniture. As the name suggested they are ready to rough out your belongings.

Worst company ever broke things lost things I filed a claim on teak entertainment center that they broke leg on ,fire pit stuff missing, 2bedframes , a broken oak dresser ( they said fell apart )broken lamp a fan they broke at other house,all my solar outdoor yard decorations. They sent me a check for 149.22 . They lie and refuse to listen .. I watched all this stuff go on truck !!! Ask nothing comes off right till it gets where it is going ?? Oh no once it is on truck it stays on truck!!! Amanda at the office told me they found box of lawn decorations that were mine liars don’t ever use these guys they are worthless !!! They charged me $10397 to move me ! Also I am a widow to a vet.. Paul Ruff and John Ruff both lie !!!!!!

The experience started off good with a quick estimate and availability. They showed up on time. Yet the day dragged on and for only moving 20 minutes away it was well after dark when they left. I had my husband start helping because I needed to get the kids into bed. From there the experience just got worse, we discovered boxes and boxes of things broken. Multiple platters, glasses , scratched furniture and the worst was our fridge door was broken. The handle was smashed in and made the door unusable. We paid for the insurance so we called about it and they said they would look into sending a repairman out. We waited and got busy with life and suddenly receive a check in the mail for $6. This was their valuation of the door on a $3000 fridge. I had to write a review so that other people are warned of this. At least do the due diligence in what you said when we called with the concern. Disappointing. Our stuff did get from point a to b, but the losses in between were not in my opinion worth it. Even the boxes we bought brand new were destroyed after the move and unusable for even storage in the garage. We had things in plastic boxes and even those were cracked.

Worst experience ever. Amanda in the office is rude as all hell. They say the truck will arrive Friday, then Monday then Wednesday. The truck shows up Wednesday and the day laborers they hired are told to unload the truck until they find our stuff. An hour and half into unloading OTHER PEOPLES items from a terribly packed truck, we find out, the truck does not have our stuff on it. The driver drove through the night from California to Colorado and is dead tired. The laborers don’t want the liability of moving other people’s items. So we are without ALL of our stuff and we paid about $5000 for this move. Worst company ever!!!!! I should have listened to other folks when they said it was a terrible company.

Very friendly and professional. Great pricing that was based on actual weight and came out less than was quoted. Relieved a lot of stress from our move.

Movers are not bad, But the attitude of the office staff is particularly bad！They took the full check, and I had to deduct another valuable item as a collateral, then let me get cash in exchange for the next day. Mover said he will pick up next day，but he did not come，the staff let me send to office，Because we couldn’t go there that day, they said they will call the police to come to my house，This is really weird！Are they crazy?

Keep shopping. These guys created a huge mess and quote was less then half of the final bill”S”. They quit labeling boxes about 2/3 through and then just put boxes wherever they wanted blocking doors bathrooms etc.. They said quote did not include unpacking for 80+ year old in law. Foul music playing on cell phone of mover, they used way too many packing items and charged for all of them. I personally had to spend several days unpacking them with other hired help. WORST MOVERS EVER

I have used Ruff and Ready 3 times for interstate moves and they knocked it out of the park each time. I hope I don"t move again but, if I do I won"t call anyone else.

My second move using Ruff and Ready and they did not disappoint! The team of Jeff, Brian, and Anthony were efficient (actually they worked SO hard!) and professional. The move from one house to another was very smooth. I highly recommend!!

BEWARE 😈BEWARE 😈BEWARE😈 Paul Ruff will give you a LOW estimate to get your business. They will then hold your property HOSTAGE to charge you more MONEY. We had to hire an attorney to get our property released to another moving company.They apparently have a way to HIDE REVIEWS on their website. Read YELP. We should have! We hired Jon’s Moving Company after Ruff & Ready canceled our move before the hostage $ was due. These people do this during THE PANDEMIC. DO NOT HIRE THIS FRAUDULENT BUSINESS! Read YELP

Ruff and Ready moved our office and then helped two of our employees move. They are wonderful to work with. We were very happy.

We hired a “professional” moving company that completely and utterly turned into a scam, and suddenly we were left with no movers and no time. We rented a box truck and out of desperation reached out to Ruff and Ready to see if they had anyone that could help, even though it was absolutely last minute. They sent 3 young men over who did an absolutely FANTASTIC job, and got our whole 26’ truck loaded in under 4 hours. They were courteous and professional and went so far above and beyond. I would highly recommend them and wish I could bring them with us to Utah to help us unload 😂 So, from a desperate mom that got conned, thank you for working so hard for us and helping us when we needed it most.

They were on time. They were extremely careful with every piece of furniture and every single box. They worked all the time and completed the move in less time than estimated and only charged for the time spent. We highly recommend them!

All I'm going to say is don't use this company. I trusted them and I got screwed. Lots of items went missing...

The movers arrived on time,very nice people. But, they rushed the job, did not pack my special items, as I requested, broke my son's trophy, and lost a bag of valuable clothing of mine. I've called their office, spoke with them, once, they looked for the bag, did not find it, and never called back. I'm now, again, requesting the money back, for my lost clothes, plus a small return of the moving fees, which were way too expensive to begin with.

Very professional movers - If you want the best in care at the time of your move, Ruff and Ready Moving is the best choice. We liked the idea that they are licensed and insured, unlike many of the local movers.

This company HANDS DOWN knows how to do a fabulous job with packing!!! We just moved across the country using Upack and ABF which is just as bad as using military movers for change of duty station. We had to move an entire house filled with high end fragile items that we treasured and didn’t want to have break on move. So we looked up reviews and searched everywhere for who was the best. All across the country everyone recommended Ruff and Ready Moving and there is a reason for that. Our items have been in transit for almost a month between cross country, storage places and then more moving we were scared that our stuff would be broken. Heck we put a motorcycle inside our pod with all of our items too 😳😳. On Friday- we opened up our unit and NOTHING, I mean NOTHING had moved even an inch from how these guys packed it. They did such an amazing job that everything came in perfect shape and even the movers who unloaded us- were in complete shock. Seriously, don’t think twice about hiring them and if you like your items in one piece and want to feel assured your possessions will be okay- hire them. I would have paid triple what I paid to have them move me again knowing all of my possessions would be ok. They are a true family company that care about their clients. They are worth all of the hype and live up to their repuatation. Plus they help the local community which is amazing too- knowing that hiring them you are actually helping your own community too!! I’d give them 20 stars if I could. Thank you so much Ruff and Ready for making Atleast one aspect of this nightmare move- a complete success and breeze. Also- I just want to say that the guys we had were amazing to work with. They were kind, sweet, polite and extremely well mannered. They made the packing effortless and were so kind to even help us with trying to figure out how to pack a few other items in my husbands truck that we couldn’t figure out how to get in. The entire company is so sweet and they understand that moves are stressful. They truly go out of their way to care. Thank you so much!
